WILSONVILLE, Ore. – Avamere at Seaside, an assisted living and memory care community, will undergo renovations to their assisted living section of the building beginning summer 2019.
All current assisted living residents are moving to another Avamere community called Suzanne Elise, which is just two miles north of Avamere at Seaside. Moving began in late April and is expected to be complete in early June.
During the remodel, Avamere at Seaside’s assisted living area will be converted into independent living. Avamere at Seaside will continue to offer memory care during and following renovations.
“This is an exciting change for us at Avamere at Seaside,” said Executive Director Sarah McBride. “These renovations allow us to provide more amenities for our residents, perfectly aligning with our mission to enhance the life of every person we serve.”
Renovations will include moving the dining room downstairs next to the kitchen, adding a bistro (including a soda fountain), gym and theater room, and obtaining new furniture and artwork.
Avamere at Seaside will provide 41 independent living apartments for seniors looking to retire at the coast. Avamere at Seaside offers three meals a day, weekly housekeeping, all utilities, and a full activities calendar including a wide selection of outings designed to keep seniors active mentally and physically.
Avamere at Seaside’s upcoming independent living offering aligns with Avamere’s continuum of care priority, where they aim to provide care to seniors wherever they are in their life journey.
